As a member of ESNZ Gisborne Area (GA) you will receive the following benefits ……

• Membership hire-age of the GA arena at the Poverty Bay A&P Showgrounds

• Practise Day(s), you must be a member of ESNZ GA and there is no ground levy

• A first point of contact for ESNZ Jumping information

TERMS & CONDITIONS

As a member you agree to volunteer (1/2 day) at our events, that is, Poverty Bay A&P Show and LarsenEquestrian Championships Show.  As a member you agree to abide by the conditions of the GA arena.

We welcome you to join at group membership rates

• Family membership annual (children under 18 years) $28

Single membership annual $17

The annual membership is valid from 1 August 2024 – 31 July 2025.

ESNZ GISBORNE AREA ARENA

Rider/Spectator/Visitor Disclaimer

• Arena Fee $22 per hour/per rider

• Gate into the Practise Arena must be closed at all times

• Riders under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult

• Only members are allowed to ride in arena

• It is recommended that you do not jump by yourself

• You must wear an approved tagged helmet (yellow) and suitable footwear, NO gumboots

• Parking in the Windmill paddock (paddock between RDA and road) and gate must be closed at all times 

• Yards in front of the RDA are the ONLY yards to be used and covered yards beside Golf Mania paddock 120, 121, 122, 123,(NO exceptions)

• Jumps to be left as found, and at 80cm

• Pole breakages $25 per pole

• Rates are hourly – please do not abuse this policy

• Arena would be closed in extreme weather conditions, as decided by the GA and Poverty Bay A&P Association

• Any riding clinics would have priority use

• Manure must be picked up and put in manure bins, empty wheel barrow regularly

• Booking will be made through booking system Pay2play,

• Arena hire fees to be paid for at time of booking.  By direct credit: ANZ ESNZ Gisborne

• Security cameras are in use

• ESNZ Gisborne Area and Poverty Bay A&P Association are not responsible for any loss or damage, accidental or not to any property, horse, or person while on the premises regardless of using the arena or not

Horses and ponies are creatures of flight and can be unpredictable at times and therefore there are risks associated with being around them – both on the ground and riding.

On entering and using these facilities you accept the risks involved and will not hold ESNZ Gisborne Area of ESNZ liable for any accidents, injuries or losses while participating at this venue.

You also confirm to showing an understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and will respect the guidelines that are in place at this venue (available at the Poverty Bay A&P Showgrounds office) ESNZ GA will take all reasonablypracticable steps to ensure you/your child’s safety but undertakes no liability for any accident, injury or loss while participating in any activity on this property.
